Electro Swing!

Electro swing has become one of my favorite genres of music. I touched briefly on my fling with it last semester, but I found a music video of select art style that has made me revisit it because it's just that awesome.

Watch this.

And by watch it I mean watch it now because I'm going to say one of those things that makes the chronological turn of events very important.

Have you watched it yet?

Okay.

So basically this band, who has other cool stuff, but none of similar art style, originally produced its music for silent pornographic films.  Yeah, I know, weird right?  It originally made me feel really really dirty and gross, but that feeling passed and now I'm back to just enjoying it.  Them, along with Parov Stelar, who was the artist I touched on last semester, have a lot of really cool music.  Needless to say I now have 5 gb worth of electro swing on my computer.

I turned in my first writing assignment of college today.  I was going to share it with you guys, but it ended up less than satisfactory so I will only briefly summarize it and save you from the pain of reading all of it.  It turns out trying to do homework during the superbowl is a bad idea and not a conducive environment for creative writing.  Who knew?  Probably a lot of people actually.

The writing assignment was a musical autobiography in which you talk about music in relation to your life.  You were to choose three instances of music and elaborate on them; mine were: a) K-Pop, specifically Haru Haru by Big Bang, b) music I have played on the piano, or in my specific case the harpsichord (Le CouCou by Daquin) and c) electro swing (Parov Stelar).

My wound is healing up nicely, I wonder if I'll have a scar. I think a scar would be kind of cool, though I would need to think of a better story than what actually happened.  I realized I didn't say what happened last post, but the lame reality was that I was cleaning a bowl and the bowl broke and a shard of it cut open my arm.  A lot more lame than what it could be.  I'll brainstorm some stories and get back to you on this.

I have been so far clean of video games and as of late watching other people play video games. I seem to have a lot more free time but it remains to be seen that this time is put to use.  Today for instance I took the liberty to brush up on my knowledge of Pokemon. In case you didn't know, I'm probably the most knowledgeable person you know in all things Pokemon.  Unless you count Max, then it's up for debate. But constantly I get to shut people down in arguments about if Charizard could learn fly or not and whether or not Gyarados was ever dragon type and so I feel it is my obligation to stay on top of my game.

I really like this trend of me writing my blog post earlier in the week and setting it to post automatically for Tuesday. If I am to continue this trend I'm going to need to stop writing this now though because it's half an hour till Tuesday.  That's an odd way of phrasing time haha.  Well I'll see you all next week.  I feel like I had more to talk about this week, but I can't think of what it was so until then stay classy my friends.
