A Long-expected Party

I just took the most wonderful nap. I love me some naps. Nap nap nap.

Last Wednesday my geology lab consisted of a hike to the top of Snake Mountain, which is more of a hill in the Champlain Valley between the Adirondacks to the west and the Green Mountains to the East. The view from the top wasn't too shabby. I took a few pictures; let's see if any are worth sharing.
Looking west. Everything between the camera and Lake Champlain is Vermont, everything beyond that thin line of blue is New York. This is, by the way, the flattest part of Vermont and the most rugged part of New York.
On Friday we raced Open New England's at Franklin Park. I think I ran harder than I have ever ran before in my life. 27:19 was the official time, I believe. A good race, for 4.8k at least. Didn't have anything left to finish it.
I can see me. Can you see me? Probably not. I'm right in the middle, toward the back. If I knew how to draw things on pictures, I'd circle me, but I don't, so I won't.
GIS is hard. I finished a problem last night, but right before I finished it, I realized I did it wrong and I know how to fix it, but fixing it would take another chunk of time. It's not due 'til Tuesday morning, so maybe I'll fix it. But maybe I won't . . .

I turn 21 today, by the way. Chuck is making me go to the bar tonight.

I realize I've been rushing these posts so far this year. Maybe one of these days — not a Monday because I don't seem to have any time on Mondays — I'll sit down and write something better. Until then, you get the quick notes like this week's.

  2. I see you too.

Nice pic from Snake Mountain... I mean, it's no Chipman Hill, but what can you do.

I hope you enjoyed yourself. Chuck is a good friend.
