That doesn’t make much sense but it’s alphabetical anyway. I couldn’t fix that y, z at the end but
whatever.
I’m in lit class and we’re talking about Shakespeare and
Milton. Who of you know Milton’s first
name without looking it up? I always
like when we ask these kinds of trivia questions, especially when I know the
answer.
Evening, friends.
Do you ever find yourself missing the smallest things? I miss bike rides; characterized by
simultaneous feelings of fear, exhilaration and awe of the beauty that
surrounds you, a good mountain bike ride is unmatched by any other
activity. I miss the boba at the bottom
of a cha drink, those delightful black chewy balls, representing how versatile
a sweet potato really is. Oh! Having a room to myself… Wednesday night I
was woken up at 3:30 in the morning. My
roommate was clipping her toenails…. With.
My. Clippers. I’m not that mad; just another bizarre
roommate story, I suppose.
This weekend it parents’ weekend at AU, so my mom and
Dave, her boyfriend, are here to visit.
It’s the first time I’ve seen anyone from back home since August. Sort of shocking; the East Coast for me is a
separate world from the West, so someone crossing into this sphere from that is
unsettling but welcome. I can’t wait for
Thanksgiving when I get to snuggle into bed and enjoy the phenomena previously
mentioned. And see you guys and my dad and
Maggie and Devin <3 and visit CdM again of course.
Tonight we went monument scoping. Saw the Washington, World War II, Vietnam,
Lincoln, Korean, and the new MLK, Jr. (and the Jefferson from far away… Rich,
you have a Jefferson Memorial elevator story, right?). I had fun but I was really tired by the end
and now I’m really sore. I am an old
woman. I really am. I can’t understand how people were LEAVING
campus at 12 am when I was getting home, ready to crash. Devin told me if he were here I’d get a foot
rub and this is why I happily continue my long distance relationship. He always knows just what to say to make me
miss him. Today was our nine months,
actually, and I accept all congratulations.
Hurrah.
This week was Big-Little week and my big decorated my
room like crazy all week. At the end I got
a beta fish. There’s a tradition in my
family, I was told, that on the last night of Big Little week you get a beta
fish and you have to name it after something out of Mean Girls. Someone suggested Fetch. So his name is Fetch. I love him, I’m just worried about all the
breaks when I go home. I will have to
find someone to care for him, because I don’t think I could keep him in less
than 3.2 oz for the plane ride home (that was a TSA joke. Laugh.)
In actuality, my room is so cluttered with decorations, especially
balloons, that I feel like a hoarder. It’s
actually quite miserable. I will fix it
in the morning.
Love you guys. I
just don’t have energy for anything more.
I will put this song Dev showed me here though, because Rich did that also and
this song is awesome. Give it a chance
it’s cute.
Night time night time night time <3
Update: I added a "Follow by Email" tab on our right hand column because I thought it would look cool. Also, I reordered the colleges in the "About" space so it would be us in order. I'm still last so it was for logical, not selfish, reasons.
I really really loved your TSA joke. But I loved your commentary on it more. Haha. Laugh. Good stuff. I miss you so much! Your post made me very happy. I cannot wait to see you guys! And "stop trying to make Fetch happen. It's not going to happen!"

Yay Cha at Thanksgiving! I think I'm just going to keep on commenting on this because I know if I say it enough then it will become true. That's how all things work...right?
ReplyDeleteWait, Jason is that true?

I have just a generic DC elevator story.
ReplyDeleteAnd Derek. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. When I was home I had Mexican food four times because I miss it so fucking much. =(
Our guacamole here is really diluted. It's not thick like it should be. It's also too light green. That is all.
